Refund Policy and Terms of Enrolment onto Master Storytelling Training Programme

Our commitment to you

We believe in this training deeply enough to stand behind it with a full refund guarantee. If, having genuinely engaged with the programme, you find it is not right for you, we do not want your money. No serious learning relationship begins well under financial duress, and we would rather you leave with your investment returned than remain in a programme that is not serving you.

That said, this is a serious training programme built on a demanding framework. It asks genuine intellectual and personal engagement from everyone who joins it. The refund policy below is designed to honour both our commitment to you and the integrity of the programme itself.

Full Refund — 14 Day Cooling Off Period

If you enrol and decide within 14 days of your enrolment date that the programme is not right for you — for any reason — you are entitled to a full refund of your enrolment fee, no questions asked.

To request a refund within this period, simply contact us at kieran@masterstorytelling.org with your name, enrolment date, and a brief note that you would like to withdraw. Refunds will be processed within 5 working days.

This cooling off period applies regardless of how much of the programme you have accessed during those 14 days.

Conditional Refund — Modules 1 and 2

If you have passed the 14 day cooling off period but have completed no more than the first two modules of the programme, you may apply for a conditional refund.

To be eligible you must:

Have completed Modules 1 and 2 in full, including all exercises and practical components

Apply for your refund within 30 days of your enrolment date

Submit a brief written reflection — of no more than 300 words — explaining what you engaged with in the first two modules and why the programme is not the right fit for you at this time.

This reflection is not an obstacle. It is consistent with the framework’s own emphasis on genuine meta-awareness and honest self-examination — and it helps us understand how to improve the programme for future participants. Refunds under this condition will be processed within 14 working days of receiving your reflection.

Conditional refunds are not available to participants who have accessed Modules 3 or beyond.

No Refund — Beyond Module 2

Once you have accessed Module 3 or any subsequent module, you have engaged with the core intellectual and practical content of the programme and a refund is no longer available.

We set this boundary not to protect revenue but to protect the integrity of the learning relationship. The framework this programme teaches has real depth — and that depth takes time and genuine engagement to appreciate. If you are finding the programme difficult, challenging, or uncomfortable at any point beyond Module 2, we would encourage you to contact us directly before considering withdrawal. In almost every case, what feels like a reason to leave turns out, on reflection, to be exactly the kind of productive discomfort the programme is designed to produce.

Exceptional Circumstances

We recognise that life does not always cooperate with training commitments. If you experience a significant personal circumstance — serious illness, bereavement, or another major life event — that prevents you from continuing with the programme beyond Module 2, please contact us directly. We will consider each situation individually and with genuine care. Options may include a full or partial refund, a transfer to a future cohort, or an extended access period to allow you to complete the programme when circumstances allow.

Exceptional circumstance requests should be submitted to hello@ministory.co.uk with a brief explanation. We will respond within 5 working days.

Organisational Bookings

For organisational bookings, the following terms apply:

Cancellations made more than 28 days before the programme start date are entitled to a full refund minus a 10% administration fee.

Cancellations made between 14 and 28 days before the programme start date are entitled to a 50% refund

Cancellations made within 14 days of the programme start date are not entitled to a refund, but may transfer their booking to a future cohort within 12 months at no additional cost

Individual participants within an organisational booking who withdraw after the programme has begun are not entitled to a refund, but their place may be transferred to another individual within the same organisation at any point up to Module 3

Transfer Policy

If you are unable to complete the programme but are not eligible for a refund, you may transfer your enrolment to another individual at any point up to and including Module 3, subject to the following conditions:

The transfer must be requested in writing to kieran@masterstorytelling.org

The incoming participant must complete a standard enrolment form

No additional fee is charged for a transfer made before Module 3

Transfers are not available after Module 3 has been accessed

Access and Intellectual Property

By enrolling in the Master Storytelling training programme you agree to the following:

All course content — including video, audio, written materials, diagnostic tools, and exercises — is the intellectual property of Ministory and Kieran O’Brien and may not be reproduced, shared, or distributed without written permission

Your enrolment grants you personal access to the programme for your own learning and professional development. It does not grant you the right to teach, facilitate, or deliver the framework to others without completing the Master Storytelling facilitator certification programme

Login credentials are personal and must not be shared with others. Shared access will result in immediate suspension of the account without refund

Our Obligations to You

In accepting your enrolment we commit to:

Providing full access to all modules and materials as described at the point of enrolment

Being available to respond to questions and support your learning throughout the programme

Processing any eligible refund requests promptly and without unnecessary delay

Treating every participant with genuine respect, care, and the assumption of good faith

If for any reason we are unable to deliver the programme as described — through technical failure, significant changes to content, or any other cause within our control — we will offer you the choice of a full refund or a transfer to a future cohort, regardless of how far through the programme you have progressed.

A Final Note

These terms exist to make the learning relationship clear and fair for everyone involved. They are not designed to catch anyone out or to make it difficult to leave if the programme is genuinely wrong for you. If you are ever uncertain about where you stand, please just ask. We would always rather have a direct conversation than leave anyone feeling unclear or unsupported.

The work this training asks of you is real. So is our commitment to making it as valuable as possible.
