Ways to bring cultural change into real settings
Free
The whole picture in one free course: why so much good work struggles to move people, and the layer beneath culture that shapes what we do, often without our noticing.
You’ll be able to: see the three things every piece of work runs on (what it values, what drives it and what it is for) and notice when they pull in different directions.
Free. No account needed. Free guides for each part are in the library with a free account.
Follows Core
Integral Motivation Theory
Why some effort lasts and some burns out, and what that means for every campaign, team and appeal you work on.
You’ll be able to: read what is really driving a piece of work, and redesign it so the motivation lasts.
You’ll make: a motivation audit of one campaign or team you know.
Begins where Core ends. £125, or £250 for organisations and £60 at the concession rate.
Opening soon
What actually moves people, and how to use insights as to the nature of values for future campaigns and initiatives that let an audience meet the value for themselves.
You’ll be able to: read which kinds of value a piece of work carries, which are missing, and which are imitations.
You’ll make: a reading and redesign of one piece of your own outreach.
Opening soon. £125, or £250 for organisations and £60 at the concession rate.
Opening soon
Whether the reason your work exists still steers what it does from day to day, and what happens when it stops.
You’ll be able to: tell when a goal has come loose from the reason behind it, and bring the two back together.
You’ll make: a purpose map of your organisation, and your first full diagnosis using all three parts.
Opening soon. £125, or £250 for organisations and £60 at the concession rate.
Opening soon
How a culture carries its deep story through habits, rules and systems, and how new work can change it.
You’ll be able to: read the gap between the culture an organisation says it has and the one its systems actually run.
You’ll make: a reading of one organisation or sector, and one piece of work designed to shift it. Together these are your final project.

Ways to bring cultural change into real settings, practised with others.
The practice develops two things. The Synaxis is the inner capacity we all have to sense what matters in a situation before we put it into words. A Synactic Council is a structured way for a group to bring that capacity to a shared question. Both are learned in practice, with support, so this programme runs separately from the online training. It is not open yet.
The four modules together, with a final project on a real case from your own work. Finish it and you receive a certificate of completion.
Every module you take counts in full towards the full training, so taking them one at a time costs the same as joining all at once.
| Place | Who it is for | One module | Full training |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | Paid by you, a charity or a community organisation | £125 | £500 |
| Organisation | Paid by a business, public body or large institution | £250 | £1,000 |
| Concession | Unwaged, students and people on a low income, paying for themselves | £60 | £240 |
Founding Member places on the Motivation Model (£45) are for people taking part in the research behind the training.
Places for your staff at the organisation rate, invoiced, with a guide for working through the sessions together.
Prices are in pounds. Organisation prices exclude VAT; we are not currently VAT registered. Places are open to buyers in the UK. The certificate of completion records that you finished the full training; the Master Storyteller title also requires the practice programme. Master Storytelling is a training programme provided by Kieran O’Brien, trading as Ministory.
